What to expect

Birth - 2 Months

birth – 2 months the normal developmental pattern your infant should be following is:

uage, play and social

  • Coos to parents from about 5 / 6 weeks.
  • Able to produce a small range of sounds.
  • Vowel like sounds such as crying or grunting.
  • Eyes may turn towards a close source of continued sound.
  • Established interaction with their carers through eye-contact or facial expression.

eating amd drinking

    eeds four to six times a day, each feed consisting of four to seven ounces of liquid.

    eeds using a sucking pattern with some loss of liquid.

    wallowing pattern consists of suck, swallow, two or more sucks are followed by a pause before initiating a swallow.
