Speech Disorders

A Speech disorder is a blanket term for speech problems ranging from mild to severe and can take many different forms. Speech disorders occur when the speech sounds of a child's language are not produced properly. They can be caused by many different disorders and conditions and have different treatment plans depending upon which one a child is having difficulty with.

Speech sound disorders can range from mild to severe. Speech and language therapy can be highly beneficial for children with speech disorders. An individualised treatment plan will be made to suit the specific needs and abilities of the child.
