What is expressive communication?
Expressive communication is any form of communication which expresses or conveys a message or information. This can be through written, spoken or non-verbal communication.
How can an expressive communication problem impact on an individual's life?
Having an expressive communication problem will affect an individual's ability to communicate effectively with others, this can range from a mild to severe problem. Expressive communication problems can have dramatic effects on both the individual and others around them including their family and friends. Expressive communication problems may affect an individual's ability to communicate with others, their learning and carrying out daily activities. Expressive communication problems may additionally cause the individual to lack confidence and have low self-esteem. The effects of an expressive communication difficulty will vary for each individual.
