Solicitors

Our speech and language therapy service accepts referrals directly from solicitors. These can include solicitors acting on behalf of a patient who is in need of speech and language therapy, but whose claim has not yet been settled. Our speech and language therapists offer specialist services and provide ongoing reports regarding the patient’s treatment and also the associated costs. We also provide a medico-legal assessment and report writing service for both the patients and solicitors.

We additionally work with solicitors who are managing individuals’ finances once a claim has been settled. In these cases, progress and update reports will be provided as necessary.

Medico-legal report writing

The speech and language therapists will provide detailed medico-legal reports regarding the patient’s care, rehabilitation, specialist equipment and therapy needs in relation to personal injury litigation and medical negligence.

Our medico-legal speech and language therapy reports can advise on the following:

• The claimant’s past, present and future communicative ability.
• The claimant’s previous, present and future eating, drinking and swallowing ability.
• The claimant’s current and future speech therapy needs.
• The claimant’s potential for improvement and progress with appropriate rehabilitation.
• The quantity and cost of speech and language therapy input.

Our services for solicitors provide a hassle free recovery for every patient. We have no waiting lists and appointments from 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 4pm on a Saturday. Our speech and language therapists will work on helping every patient meet their full potential.
